Photography

got some great feedback on the photos in my shop from a friend who knows lots more about that stuff than I do... I just took them with my old canon point and shoot. so that was good.

i have all the listings up ready for the presentation tomorrow. over the summer I'll keep adding as I go.

Almost there!!

so as my presentation is this coming wednesday, i sat down today and made some earrings. I've still been struggling to narrow my point of view down, but i think I'm getting close to what i want to portray. i now have 6 complete and active listings up on etsy, and hope to have at least 4 more up by wednesday.

are overwhelming. I'll have at least 2 for the gala tomorrow.

its a lot to think about, calculating shipping costs, naming the individual pairs of earrings, and with deadlines coming up my head is spinning a little.

so I have some earrings on my corkboard ready to photograph... will do that on friday. then I'll start listing them on the etsy shop. I also started posting a little more on my art blog... rewoundthread.blogspot.ca

I also am in the midst of cleaning up my workspace. I need my room to be tidy in order to be productive, and its time to be productive, with the gala 6 days away.

just starting to gather images and materials for my first couple posts on the Sewing Stories blog...

and one about the jewelry I'm conceptualizing right now.

Should be fun. I'm trying to make everything very pretty and take really good photos of everything, so its gonna take a teensy bit of extra time.

I've been trying to figure out the billing aspect of the etsy shop and it's proving slightly complicated. I think what I'll end up doing is linking my dad's paypal to my user and just do that till next year when I'm old enough to create my own account.

The next thing I have to do is get on my art blog... it's already created,  but I haven't posted anything yet. It's going to be a mind-map in blog form about what I think about, what is inspiring me at the moment, and a documentation of the alterations, sewing projects, and I'm also thinking... a style journal. It's the most daunting part of the whole process, honestly, because instead of having people being exposed to only the things I create(my etsy shop), this blog will hopefully be a showcase of my artistic point of view, and putting that out there is a little nerve wracking.
